So, I figured that I'd put the guild policies here since it's the easiest place to find important things. Anyways, here is the guild policy as of 10/9/08:
I. Membership Requirements
Members are required to be able to read, write, and understand English enough to the point that they can write correct English when spelling words. Now this doesn't mean that I don't permit chatspeak, but I would like to see your words spelled correctly if you're going to spell them.
Members are required to be mature. This does not mean that there is an age requirement, but by participating in this guild we will assume that you are able to exercise discretion with what you say. This includes, but is not limited to the following: expletives, graphic imagery, social views, etc.
Members are expected to uphold the image of the guild. This means that even if the other side's being a jerk to you, try to be nice. If not, then take screenshots in case the idiot gets his guildies to come at you. Then at least we'll know who's in the wrong. ;D
Above all else, members are requred to TALK. I cannot stress enough how important it is to voice yourself in the guild when you sign on. There is no point to be in a social guild if you do not chat, so please, make friends!
II. Discipline
Due to past experiences, I will be running the guild on a one chance rule. Members will be forgiven once for any misunderstanding, or complaint that another may make of them. On the second instance (complaint from a different member), it is grounds for immediate kicking.
Disciplinary action will be taken from one of the following: officer observation or member complaint. To file a complaint, send a note to me, Alyra, with the reason for the offense, and the approximate time it happened. Please also make sure that there is a witness to what may have happened. If it is trade related, please make sure you have a DETAILED list of what was taken.
III. Activity
Activity shall henceforth be monitored via forums. Those that do not sign up with the forums and post every 10 days shall be subject to guild cleaning. There are no exceptions, unless noted in the planned absence thread.
Messages to Alyra or any of the other officers are not excepted in place of a formal note in the Planned Absence thread. However, you may ask one of the officers to place a note on the thread for you if you are really that lazy. ;P
Guild cleaning will be done every Friday, at random times. This will prevent those trying to get their 10 day post quota done at 1 AM on Friday morning.
IV. Re-Entry
Re-entry is possible, however, may be limited depending on the reason given. To re-enter, please send a note as to why you believe you were booted from the guild.
